Hi arriany,
Welcome to the forum!
Would would you like to know? The basic idea is to look around the forum for news articles and topics that interest you, and start leaving comments (then hopefully later responding to other people's comments).
The idea is to interact and apply your English - so let's hear what you have to say!
Good luck to you,
~ Jason

Welcome aboard, Tolkin! Nice to have you here.
As soon as I saw your name, I couldn't help thinking of my favorite author: J. R. R. Tolkien - the man who wrote The Lord of the Rings. Most people are familiar with the movies, but I was a fan of the original books many many years before they were made into movies...
In any case, I think you have a cool-sounding name, Tolkin.
See you around in the forum,
~ Jason

Hi Jihyun,
Great to see you've become a member of this forum. I know you are particularly keen to improve your listening skills with real English articles, so I hope this will be helpful practice for you. A big question is, will you visit and listen and comment regularly now that this isn't formal homework for you??? That's the big difference between improving English for a "grade" and practicing and improving because you truly want to develop your English proficiency.
In any case, I'm accustomed to seeing your thoughtful comments and I hope we can see some of them here in this forum!
Good luck to you,
~ Jason

Hello~ arriany~ My name is Jihyun.
First of all, nice to meet you here in forum. You like to travel, and you have plan to visit Jogjakarta and bali island. Wow~ I envy you.
by the way, I couldn't listen about the jogjakarta island. Where is it?
Um... I am Korean, and we have lots of beautiful place to visit. You will love to see Seoul: the capital of Korea, Kyung Joo & An-dong :traditional area and north sea, selak mountain, JeJu island...etc.
Maybe it's very different from other countries~ I hope you can visit Korea someday, and if you have plan, I can tell you more specifically.
Have a great time during your traveling and see you later on web...

Hi Jason,
I am a new member in this forum and i did like it a lot . I realy appreciate all the materials that you post for teofl. I want you to comment on my first integrated eaay which is response to the integrated essay example in The official guide to the new toefl ibt which is about ( working in teams ).
I am realy looking forward to get a comment from you.
Thank you again for all what you do for us to prepar for tpefl.
Here is my essay
On the contrary to the reading passage which says that working in a group is very good method for achieving work, the lecture does not agree with this kind of work for many reasons:
First one is that working in a group will require more time to make a decision because a lot of arguments will occur between the group members and this will lead them to take longer time to reach a final decision, this completely oppose the reading passage which mentioned that working in a group lead to a quick work.
Also because all the group members are responsible about the work not a particular one; this may encourage some of the members to not participating properly and leave the other active members to do all the work; and this will lead the active ones to feel negatively about the group work which contradicts what the reading said about the good feelings of the group members about this kind of work.
Other disadvantage is that if some of the members exerts higher influence on the rest of the group members so they will push the group to adoubt their opinion so there will be no creativity in the group which contradict the reading which says that the group work is of higher creativity due to participating of many people.

Hi Jason,
I'm extremely happy that I found your site. You're a God gift to me and I'm sure to the rest of your members as well. But on the contrary, I feel sad about your being off-line until mid of March. You know I plan to take the Toefl test end of that month and I think that remaining two weeks of my practice with you would not be very effective to me since English is my second language. However, I promise to practice on my own while you're away using the lectures & tips that you gave us and hopefully to meet you on-line for further enhancement of my skills.
Thank you so much for your help Jason! God bless you and your family..
Your new member,
Jujem

Hi Jason,
I've been reading this site and I found it so useful and interesting. It will help a lot of people who wants to learn English and pursuing their careers in US. I am one of them. I have nothing to say because I could not ask for more from this site. Everything we need to know to pass the English Test is already here.
Thank you Jason and More Power to You!

Hi Jason,
I am a new member to this forum. What impressed me about your website and your tutorials is the language which is easy to understand and quite a good no of practise sessions in speaking and writing section.
I am looking forward to get your remarks on my essays as well as on my speaking sessions in the "mentor".
Thanks a lot for starting this forum.

Hi Jason,
I'm also new in this forum, and it seems very helpful.. I just took scores for my iBT exam and I have to retake it since my speaking and writing scores were 24 and 21 respectively. so how can this forum help me to improve my level since I need scores of 26 speaking and 24 writing?
Thanks
