Summary: Too much small trees in the forest can be a cause of natural forest fire. They are considered to be useless and unprofitable, so loggers hardly touch them. However, non-profit groups are cutting the small-diameter trees down for twice-fold benefits. First, it can reduce the possibility of natural bush fires. Second, by using the cut-down trees, community volunteer workers can build a wooden house for the elderly in the local areas. The type of house shown in the video is called Hogans.

Opinion: I think the non-profit organizations are doing the most necessary and valuable job for both the forest and the people.

Nice report, Pilsu. You've made an excellent summary!

This video channel seems to be such a great source for new knowledge - I hadn't heard of this sort of innovation before. "Hogan" - I wonder why the cottages are called that... Are they named after the person who came up with the idea, or is it a specialized kind of vocabulary I haven't been exposed to before?

One very small tip, Pilsu - Too much small trees => Too many small trees

Best wishes,

~ Jason

Hello, Jason. How are you doing in Chang-won? Thanks for reading my writings and giving feedback. I'll visit this website as often and as regularly as my time allows and practice listening and writing.

I searched the word "Hogans" on the Internet and here's the explanation: traditional Navajo homes, called hogans. Hogans are made of logs and mud and have dirt floors.

Thank you for your grammar feedback as well. I often make grammar errors and I sometimes don't realize my mistakes.
