Some day I will be in Australia with my family. They will love it.
As it shows some places to visit, which are very impressive and look fantastic, my fmaily and I will be there. ^^ Lovely places.

You and your family will definitely love it there, Sunghan.

In addition to "looking" spectacular, there is a certain 'spirit' about the places in Australia that is very hard to describe in words. As the lyrics to the accompanying song say: "When you see it, then you'll understand..."

I hope you get there someday. I'll be waiting for you!

Here is a more comical view of Australia, from a part of a comedy movie in the late 80s called "Young Einstein". In this clip, the comical main character travels from his home in Tasmania to the mainland of Australia. It showcases many of the country's various and unique landscapes, and provides some light laughter along the way...

The accompanying sound track for the clip above is also interesting and iconic - it's a song by an Australian band about Australia called "Great Southern Land" (another name for Australia). You can see the lyrics below.

Great Southern Land - Icehouse

Standing at the limit of an endless ocean
stranded like a runaway, lost at sea
city on a rainy day down in the harbour
watching as the grey clouds shadow the bay
looking everywhere 'cause I had to find you
this is not the way that i remember it here
anyone will tell you its a prisoner island
hidden in the summer for a million years

Great Southern Land, burned you black

so you look into the land and it will tell you a story
story 'bout a journey ended long ago
if you listen to the motion of the wind in the mountains
maybe you can hear them talking like I do
". . they're gonna betray, they're gonna forget you
are you gonna let them take you over this way . ."

Great Southern Land, Great Southern Land
you walk alone like a primitive man
and they make it work with sticks and bones
see their hungry eyes, its a hungry home
I hear the sound of the stranger's voices
I see their hungry eyes, their hungry eyes
Great Southern Land, Great Southern Land
they burned you black, black against the ground

Great Southern Land, in the sleeping sun
you walk alone with the ghost of time
they burned you black, black against the ground
and they make it work with rocks and sand
I hear the sound of the stanger's voices
I see their hungry eyes, their hungry eyes
Great Southern Land, Great Southern Land
you walk alone, like a primitive man
you walk alone with the ghost of time
and they burned you black
yeah, they burned you black
Great Southern Land

I liked the second song, it was very unusual. It was difficult to understand all words when I listen to it first time. With the text it was much easier to understand it.

Thank you Jason for posting this interesting song, I really liked it.

Oh, how beautiful it is!
It maybe show what Australia is!!!
Actually, I have been there for 7days when I was 17 years old, but just for trip.

Because it was only 7 days, I couldn’t travel all around Australia. But I have been many famous places and enjoyed that trip. One of impressive sceneries is the house. In Korea, there are lots of apartments. But in Australia, there are many houses and it was very beautiful and cozy.

I hope I have a chance to go there again.

Luck you Jiyoung!! I have always wanted to visit Austrailia. I even have an Austrailia guide book which I bought several years ago. This music video is pretty cool, and the music is interesting!! I'm just wondering... Is the person in the video a man or woman?

Wow what a wonderful and beautiful scenery! I really want to visit there someday. Among all the Especially Ayers Rock, Ululu. I saw it in a movie, Crying Out Love In The Center Of The World, and in there, the ending scene which features Ululu was so impressive that I decided to visit there someday. Jiyoung, did you visit there? :D

Dasom! I wondered about that, too. Frankly speaking, I replayed it to clarify whethere it(?) is woman or man. Hmmm...I think it's man, what do you think?

What a wonderful view of Australia! There are really various sights in Australia from modern cities like sydney to pastures where kangaroos are jumping around. I really want to visit there some day. By the way, it there any racial dicrimination? I am somewhat worried about it.

It's funny hehe, cause I thought that the person in the video is a man considering all the things that he did in the video, and he (or she) walks really funny. Haeyoon, I replayed the video, and I agree with you. The person is probably a man. :)

Wow, how beautiful the scenery of Australia is. Maybe Australia is summer in these days. Whenever cold wind touches my cheeks and hands, I really want to go back to summer.

Jason, you must be happy to return to the beautiful home country. I envy you. Kkk. Although Australia has good scenery, I want you to see the beautiful nature and cultural properties in Korea during living in Korea. There are many precious things in Korea. For example, Jeju Island has good scenery and Kangwon-do has good ski ground.

Anyway, I enjoyed this video!

I want to visit Austrailia a lot! I want to sea it's goldish beach, gorgious opera house! (I heard at there, racial discrimination is a little serious, I hope it's just a relic of the past) I think if I go abroad to study English, I will go to Austrailia. I wish I can meet you there~
