In your opinion, what is the most important characteristic that a person can have to be successful in life? Use specific reasons and examples from your experience to explain your answer.

There are many virtues and good characteristics that help and assist in making and building  a successful life and career.Honesty,respectfulness,and hard working are all good characteristics that would achieve a very competent and recognition positions.That all virtues would definitely bring a successful way of life that is presented on different aspects of life.The most important characteristic in my opinion is honesty that would guranatee everyone the respectfulness that is reflected on hard working and good judgement.

Firstly, honesty is a very hard quality that would be hard to aquire nowadays.I remember that when we were children and my grandfather consistent advice about that specific virtue.The many times we were gathered around him telling us stories of how honesty would bring mutual respect and self integrity.He used to tell us that without honesty it would be so difficult to be respected in work or in your family life.That day he told us about an incident that took place long time ago.My grandfather was the manager at a store and he was responsible of checking the money everynight before he leaves.On that day he forgot to lock the safe and he went in a hurry to attend a family emergency.One of his employes found the safe with the money inside, and he waited for my grandfather to come back and check the money, when my grandfather didnot show up he just sat there for the whole night and slept on that office.The next morning when my grandfather came and found his employe was sleeping on his office he got the employe a raise for his honesty, and all the workers respected him for his faithful and courageaous behavior.

Secondly, honesty if being practiced in a very sincere and genuine way would bring someone a peace of mind.I remember when my brother who was about to get marry and he came to a reality that he should do something about his life.He was so honest when he told his future wife that his financial situation is getting bad and that all the money he has now belongs to the bank.That day he was relieved of the stress he was having. and all got to respect his courage and telling the truth ,whatever it might take him.That day he felt that his honesty saved his life for his wife agreed and insisted on getting married and she respected his honesty and they lived happily together.

On conclusion,honesty is a valuable and truely geniuine virtue that should be aquired by all of us.It would definitely bring us the good reputation and respect and happiness as well.
