Today class was so great and useful because we will deal with cultural things in the class someday, and I could learn many things from the class today. Thank you.
My review is not too long and casual because I want to write what I felf from the movie in a very natural way. Anyway, please read my review casually, too.

Movie title : The bucket list

The story : This movie is about two men who have different characters, economic states and even skin color. By an accident, they had to share a same room by the rule of the hospital which is there's no single room or exception,
involving the owner of the hospital who is one of two men.
They don't have enough life to live and they made a bucket list to spent their time in a worthful way and then they started to travel all around world and did what they wanted to. During their trip, they found the real meaning of life. Finally, they bacame truly friends and one of two died happily.
This movie tries to tell you how much beautiful your life is and what is truly meaningful to you in your lifetime and gives you a chance to reflect your situation for a while.

The character : There're two men who are main characters in the movie. One is Morgan Freeman and the other is Jack Nicholson. As we know, they are great great actors and of course, they did good job in this movie, too.

Best parts of the movie : Two man did skydiving in the movie and it looked really scary and exciting because it means that even though they're old physically, but not mentally. They have passion like us, young people, and this true is easy to be ignored by youngsters, so this scene was highly impressive part of all.

Worst parts of the movie : To be honest, this story is unrealistic because we are not afford to do all of the list without an extremely great fortune. Surely, it doesn't make sense to ordinary people like us.

Hit or miss? : In my opinion, this movie is awesome. If you want to think yourself or be impressed from something, just try !! I'm sure that you're not going to be sorry ^ ^

Sometimes I want something which really does not take place in real life to happen. How about you? To experience something like that makes people watch a movie. I think you have felt much fear during watching scary movies and you have laugh with movie characters' funny situations. I am going to sharing my favorite movie with you.

Title: Notting Hill.

Story: It is typical love story. William Decker runs a travel book shop. His wife has left him with another guy looking like famous movie star. His daily life is too monotonous that a good thing does not seem to remain. His last thing which makes him happy is Anna Scott's movies. One day the most fabulous movie actress is coming to his travel book shop. At that moment one customer tries to steel a book, but he says he could forgive him if he returns the book to the original place. His considerate temper makes Anna Scott get good impression with him. However they are getting closed to each other, their difference makes them apart. So he thinks they can not match each other. But At last the day when anna scott leaves england he does know he loves her, he go to her press conference and tries to show his love to her, what will happen next? You can know if you watch it.

best part of movie: At a press conference, among press he asked her whether any circumstance can change if the guy realizes he has been freak out and has got down on his knees and begged you to reconsider. Anna Scott makes answer to him with big smile.

Hit or miss: I think our generation almost have seen this film. So it is hit absolutely.

I don't mean to criticize or blame for it.^^; there are some mistakes in grammar and spelling. It would be great if you were checked one more time before you uploaded your post. (But i can't sure my post is going to be perfect^^;)

Anyway, I saw a pre-view of bucket list which was on TV programme about movie. I didn't have chance to watch it, thanks to my lazy character. Your review about that movie reminds me the feeling that i wanted to watch that movie. I think I try to borrow the DVD in few days.

I'd like to recommend a movie called 'P.S I love you'. It is the movie about love. At the very first of the movie you can see a one perfect couple. Even though they were extremely poor, it seemed they were living a happy life beacuse they thought of an each other as soul mate. But suddenly man dies and as a result, woman gets depressed. She barely goes out and almost never sees freinds. But suddenly everything changes after a letter which was written by the man delivered to her house after his death. And following letters are just keep delivering to her one by one. Each letter recalls memories about the past and gives direction to her so she can move on. Story of this movie is quite classic, but still, as people are always attracted by anything what they've experienced before, I guess this movie will not really bad.

Title : The Pianist

The Story :
It is the story about Schindler's helping jewry from the Nazis. Its background is in Europe during World War Ⅱ when the Nazis had killed and abused Jewry. In the time of the World War Ⅱ, Hitler who was the leader of the Nazis built internment camp and confine the jewish in the camp, where many jewish people died from summary conviction.
Schindler is a german enterpriser and one of the people who want to make money by taking advantage of the war. At first, he didn't have any mind to helping jewry. What he has is good-looking appearance and appeal for being on his side, so, thanks to his attractiveness, many high officials supported his business. One morning, he witnesses an antihuman action to a jewish girl and got a sharp impression from this. As time passes, looking at many merciless killing, he decided to help to release them from this confinement. He paid money to buy people. At last, the German was defeated in the war, jewry gained freedom. Jewry who got Schindler's help in germany think highly of his effort until today, visiting his tomb regularly.

Best Parts of the Movie :
To me, the part where Schindler got a meaningful ring from the Jewish is most impressive scene in this movie! Despite his effort to escape the people from confinement, he cried, saying "I could have saved much more people!". Oh, I pay deference to his compassion and love for human!

Worst Parts of the Movie :
It is a little bit cruel. But to show people the truth, it's inevitable aspects of the Holocaust movie we should understand, I think.

Hit or miss? :
I think this would be a kind of movie that descends from generation to generation!

Hello! my faithful colleagues! I think we could observe and perceive the skills and way of Teaching Practical English through the yesterday class from Sir Renshaw. It was meaningful that Sir Renshaw - our teacher - made many efforts to make the class active and us - the students - interesting. In addition, I think we have to learn his confidence for teaching practical English for his students.

Anyway, the following is my movie review. But I struggled which movie is good to recommend for you. Finally I decided one, whether it is interesting or not. - of course, I hope, interesting! -
Have you ever seen or known the movie "The Shawshank Redemption"? At that time when I saw this movie at first, I was very overwhelmed by well-planed plot, interesting story, well-acting main characters and deep impressions.

The Characters
The main characters are two men ; Andy Dufresne and Red. Both are famous movie actors, Dufresne is Tim Robbins and Red is Morgan Freeman -especially, I really like him -. As you can imagine, I surely guarantee two serious actors play their roles well in this movie!

The Story
Andy Dufresne who was once a successful banker is sentenced to life sentence, having been wrongly convicted of murdering his wife and her lover. And Dufresne is sent to the notorious Shawshank Prison. At first, he is very isolated and lonely but, soon, he comes to get along with other prisoners well, and even gains the respect of his fellow inmates. Among them, the friendliest colleagues is Ellis Redding, known as Red. Sometimes, Red is a precious adviser and counsellor for Dufresne, otherwise, he is a observer for Dufresne's behaviour. After going through many hard accidents, he decides to escape Shashank and he succeeds to do that. When Red is finally released from prison, he follows the instructions given to him by Andy to find a further note hidden beneath a tree, which eventually leads him to meet Andy on the coast of Mexico.

Best Parts of the Movie
Above all, scene of Dufresne's redemption from Shawshank prison! His perfect preparation for escape and the process of redemption is really great! After he finally makes it and he holds his hands high, feeling 'Freedom'!

Worst Parts of the Movie
Maybe, the first part of this movie is boring a little, because of not knowing what's going on this movie. However, if you become to perceive the progress of this movie, you will pay attention to this movie, very soon!

Hit or Miss?
Absolutely, a Hit! First of all, this is my 'favorite movie' in my life beyond doubt! And you will have a lot of meaningful impressions through The Shawshank Redemption. I hope you will see this movie!

I want to tell you the movie review about 'Titanic'. I have seen this movie more ten times. But whenever I see this movie, it doesn't make me boring. So it is my favorite movie.

Title : Titanic

The story : The movie starts with the scene of people who find out something in the deep sea. It is related to the old woman's(Rose) tragic love story. In the past, Rose was to get married to rich guy when she arrived in America by Titanic. But she didn't want to marry, so she attempted to commit suicide on the deck. Just at that moment, she was saved by jack who was poor and that was the first time they met. And then they fall in love in spite of Rose's mother and her fiance's objection. But suddenly Titanic crushed into the big iceberg and it started sinking. Finally they struggled to survive after being fallen into the cold water, but Jack died and Rose survived.

Best parts of the movie : The part where Jack and Rose try to survive in the icy cold water make me so heartbreaking. Because they really love each other so they want to survive but in the end Jack died.

Worst parts of the monie : Actually I don't feel like boring in any parts of the film. But in the movie, each character's reality is needed,especially Jack's character. Rose's surrounding environment than Jack's, I think.

Hit or Miss? : In my opinion, this movie is absolutely Hit!

Hello. I'm Samuel. I always feel sorry for posting so late. As I'm not interested in movies, I'll just write about one famous movie, that is Titanic. I'm really sorry for Eun-young cause she posted about the same movie. Believe me. This is not cheating. I wrote about my movie review this afternoon in a separate piece of paper. I'm just rewriting here. Please don't worry about cheating.

Title: Titanic

The story
Jack(Leonardo Dicaprio) and Rose(Kate Winslet) is on the ship from Southhampton to New York. Along the way, Titanic faces a big glacier and hits it. Titanic starts to sink. Some people were saved to take small lifeboats. But Jack and Rose couldn't take lifeboats. Finally Rose is saved, but Jack pass away. It's a romantic love story of Jack and Rose.

The characters
The main characters are Leonardo Dicaprio and Kate Winslet. Leonardo Dicaprio is the first foreign actor that I know.

Best parts of the movie
I think many people would say that the best part of Titanic is the scene Rose stands in front of the ship and open her arms. And Jack holds her waist. But in my opinion, the best part of the movie is the scene that Jack says good bye to Rose when he almost going to die. He floats on the water, but it's too cold to alive.

Worst parts of the movie
I cannot find any bad parts of the movie. I'm really sorry about that. Could you please find some bad parts for me?

Hit or miss?
It's really a hit. I think almost everybody all over the world knows this movie. It's the most romantic movie I've ever seen. Also this movie won lots of prizes.

First, Thank you for introducing us this good movie. I didn't think that I have heard the movie, but I came to remember the pre-view after I read the story.
I am really interested in the movie, a bucket list. What I like to focus on is this. Two old men's friendship and meaning of the life and family. I wonder how the quite different people got closer and what the friendship is for old men. And, because they are old and about to die, their thoughts about life are special and worthy to think. In the end, I don't know the story well, I think I saw the scene that the white guy met his family in pre-view. I also want to know the meaning of family in the views of old men.

I really enjoy watching movies, so this topic is very interesting to me.
I have watched lots of movies and know many moving movies.
One of those impressive movies is 'No Reservations'. The title is translated into '사랑의 레시피'(it means the recipe of love) in Korea. After watching it I had a talk with my frined who watched it with me and we agreed that the title seemed to make people think over the movie. What does 'no reservation' mean?
How can it be translated into the recipe of love?

-Movie title : No Reservations, 2007
The story : It's about the love and life between an woman who is really care about her job which is making delicious food in fancy restaurant more than love and a man who is really care about not only his job, cook, but also other people.
-The character : Catherine Zeta-Jones, Aaron Eckhart who is famous for the movie of the dark knight.
-Best part of the movie : It ends happily. The last scene is that the main actor and actress open their own restaurant. The mood is so bright that it's enough to make people feel up and have a warm mind.
-Worst part of the movie :It takes just about 100minutes. It's not too long and not too short, but the discovery is too fast to form sympathy from viewers.
It should have shown more detail about the development of love between he and she. In addition, it was solved too fast when the problem between them happend.
-Hit or miss? :Hit more than miss but not big hit I think.
This movie doesn't have well-formed story; However, it can make people laugh and feel happy by showing happy ending at least. Morover it'll give a hope and encourage women who tend to doubt about love. It's not heavy story but light one, so everyone can enjoy this movie.

Many people can guess 'No reservations' in the diversity respect.
I think, the reservations means everybody can make a reservation the restaurant but it does not apply to the case in love. The point is that
There is no list for reservations in love, so everybody can fall in love without any reservation or preparing for love. It can happen instantly.

I really like this movie, the shawshank redemption, also do the two actors, Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins. The movies told me about the importance of freedom and fear of being accustomed in my youth. In addition, it taught me many things , and until now they have an effect on my life.

In this Thangsgiving day, I would like to watch the movie first. I really look forward to it.

<The story>
The movie is about a lady named Sophie who is a bride to be living in a little island of Greece. She dreams of a perfect wedding, however, she doesn't have a father to go down the aisle together. Oneday, she accidently reads her mom's old diary and fortunately finds out the names of the three men who are suspected to be her dad. Therefore, she invites them to her wedding under her mom's name, Donna. The day before the big day, the invited three men(Sam, Harry, and Bill) come and Sophie wonders who is her real dad. Who would it be? Would she be able to find him? Then, would she be able to finish her wedding safely?

<The characters>
Amanda Seyfried plays Sophie and Meryl Streep is Donna in the film. Then, three man are Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, and Stellan Skarsgard. Each actors or actresses are just perfect for what they are in the movie. Casting them to this movie was such a fantastic choice!

<Best parts of the movie>
The scenary of the film is impossible to describe with words. Mamma Mia was a great hit when it first came out in musical. However, the movie is much better with the real view of the Greece. When Sophie and her friends run to the Greece turquoise beach and jump around singing the songs of ABBA is definately the best part of this movie. They look like they are not afraid of anything in the world and the scene made me want to go to Greece so much! Also, I wanted to get married the whole time waching this movie seeing how happy the bride is.

<Worst parts of the movie>
I knew already that Meryl Streep is about 10 years older than Colin Firth in real life. However, this movie features him younger than her. It was a bit awkard. Then, the actors doesn't really know how to sing. They could have practiced singing more.

<Hit or miss?>
Of course a Hit. You would not be able to get out of the theater until Sophie finishes singing at the end!
