During 2008 Amazon forest was deforestated far more faster than in 2007.
Deforestation was taken places in federal reserves and national parks that are under control of the environmentalists. The government agency " Inkara" is responsible for this deforestation.

How could the government agency have afforded to destroy so many acres of forests? In fact, Government agency claimed that it was legally provided in all of that regions. They encouraged soy farmers to clean the land for crop and grazing.

I am of the opinion that by cutting down the trees the government solved one problem but other problems occur. Because of the deforestation many animals that are already in danger lost their habitat. Destroying the trees causing the dramatical changes in climate condition. Furthermore, deforestation led indigenous people to leave their houses.

I think that the government should take the responsibility and stop the deforestation process until it will to late.

And what do you think about the deforestation?

Lets share our opinions.

Hi niniprg!

I searched the deforestation of Amazon because of writing essay about global issue. The pace of the deforestation is very fast. It can threaten other counties. So it is not only a problem of that country. The Amazon represents over half of the planet's remaining rainforests. It is Earth’s lung! I think that the government may not want to destroy the forest. But they want to develop their country so they even know it is bad, they do that at all cost. To stop them from destroying the forest, other countries have to give some help to that country to develop their country without destroying the forest.

Hi jiyoungkim,

I agree with you that it is not only the main problem of Amazon, and that all of us are responsible for it. Unfortunately, it was done a little by the Amazon's government and other countries to preserve this forest, and it continues to disappear.
