Yes, you are right! The video is very old; I think that it's from the last time that Roger Hodgson (the singer of the group) performance with Supertramp in 1983.

I really admire Roger Hodgson not because he is a musician, a composer and a songwriter, if not because he plays too many instruments as the same time he sings.

Since I know he decided to leave Supertramp because he became disillusioned with the music business in Los Angeles but not because he was thinking in star his own solo career.
Now that his kinds are old he started to performance again. Here you have a video from a concert on Montreal in 2006. Believe or not it’s the same person…after 23 years.
