Some students prefer to attend a small university. Others prefer to attend a big university. Discuss the advantages of each. Then indicate which type of university you prefer? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

It’s clear that there are many differences between small and big universities and each one has advantages and disadvantages.

A think that the most important advantage of a small university is the number of students. When there is not too many people, teachers have the chance to know all their pupils and evaluate them during all the semester instead of doing it once with a final evaluation. Also in careers where practices in laboratory are important the number of learners play and important roll, since they will have the chance to work individually and not in groups of four or five because there is not enough material.
Even so, small universities can have the problem of don’t have enough affluence to have equipped laboratories.

Big universities are more impersonal; educators don’t know all the students and evaluations are base in general exams.
I consider that the biggest benefit in a large university is the fact that usually they have more resources than the small ones. Also big universities offer bigger variety in programs.

I particularly prefer small institutions because I think college students have the opportunity of having an active roll in the institution.
I went to a very big university, the biggest in my country, and during the first year I assisted to classes with more that 100 students and I didn’t enjoy it since it was impossible to ask questions. After that year, when I started a specific orientation and the number of pupils was reduced to 20 (this was because I chose a career that was not very popular) and the relationship student-teacher was amazing.

Although I like small universities I think that there are other elements that make an university good or not, like the level of requirement for graduating and the interest of each person in learn and these can by found either in small or big universities.

I believe that each university has its own advantages over the other. However, their advantages are evident also.

I prefer the small university for various reasons. First, the administrator of the university has a various reasons to try improving their services to attract more students to come and enroll in their university in the next school year. If their students in the current school year are satisfied with what they are getting in the university then they would naturally mention it to their friends until it reach a huge number of people who may get interested to go to the university. These people may visit the university and do some research and eventually may transfer their children next school year.

Second, the small university give priority to the education of the children because they want to produce an exceptional set of graduates. The class is normally of small number only so that each student will receive an individualized attention from the professor. In case of laboratory activities, these students can do their hands-on practice which will make them confident and the more their practices will bring them to be more enthusiastic on their lessons. Naturally, these students will study more.

Citing my two reasons above, I cannot deny the fact that small university has its own disadvantages. They have limited resources and because of this the working area for laboratories may have fewer units. The university is not well-known and the students may have a fewer slot when a competition becomes open for students in the area.

On the other hand, big university which is known become congested. A classroom may be full of students that a professor may not have enough attention for each student. Other student may got sleepy and yet the professor may not notice it anymore. Students may lose interest in studying since they are not noticed by the professor. Even the school library may not have enough seats for each student who may want to spend their free time studying their next lesson.

However, a big university offers prestige and can be sure that a slot is open to them when a competition in the area opens. They also have the best of faculty members. Their laboratories have more units for students to use although some students may not have a chance to use them for many times because many students are waiting too for their turn.

In conclusion, I will say that small university is still may choice. Having weighed the advantages and disadvantages of both university, I believe that small university has a lot to offer education-wise over a well-known big university.

Discuss the advanteges of both large and small universites. Which type of uneversity do you prefer to study? Why?

University has become the major place for students, those who engage with higher education. There are numerous universities spread around world , and they are catogorized by education standereds and size of the university. It is abvious that both small universities and large universities give students to differnt but important advantages.

When concern with small universities, number of students is lower than larger universities. Students are benefited to get individual attaention from their professors, when low number of students participate in classes. Not only that, lectures are get to know their students by names, not as by a number that apper in register. It is good for students not only university life, but also career preferances after got their digree. My friend Bob is studing for an egneering digree ina asmall university near his home town. He said , his professors are very friendly with students. He know all students by names , because they all meet oftenly in cafetaria, library and social events. Bob said , he usually goes to university by foot. I think the cost he has to spend for a vehicle could save for his tuetions. He could reach to any building in the university by foot ,because the land it  spread is  small.

On the other hand, large universities provide tramendus advantages for student who are studing there. large universities are usually world reputed institutions. Number of  high skilled professors gather in those places. In addition, All facitities with new technologies  are using in their labs and libraries are facilitate withthousands of book collection. Lot of researches are going on in large univesities, sometimes students also canparticipate for these researches. It would be impressive oppertunity for students for  future careers. Students who are studing in large universities can benefited with all above sources and able to get better education  in facilitated environment. I think this is the main reason every student is try to neter for a large university. Moreover, There are lot of social activities going on for large audience. Some of them are football games, cultureal and art clubs, summer trips. Students could get several differant experiences and have a chance to make mew friends.

Concerning with advantages in both types of universities, I personally prefer to be a student in a large university. The major reason behind this is, I want to get a better education with highly reputed  university. It may help for me when I apply for a job where ever in the world. I need to make many friends locally and internationally and spent active university life to make ruins by participating several social activities. It is true ,that we have to spend more money for large universities, but It might be good investment for our future.

Some students prefer to attend a small university. Others prefer to attend a big university. Discuss the advantages of each. Then indicate which type of university you prefer? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

No one can deny the importance of attending a university whether it is big or small. As a student my self, I actually remember the excitement when I got accepted in the university several years ago, it was really a great moment which will extend to five years. The idea of attending a small university or a big one is really elusive. While there would certainly be a variety of advantages of attending a small university, personally I prefer to join a big university which is my current situation right now. This is mainly based on my feeling and my vision that being in a big university gives a variety of options regarding the main major for any student. Likewise, this university accepts international students.

First of all, having a wide range of options as for the major is a very important thing. Where it opens to any person many doors to knock. Interestingly, he/she could choose his/her major among tens of different departments such as Engineering school, Pharmacy school, Business school etc. Personally, I used to be at the same situation one year ago, then I started investigation my desires and where is the most major that suits me, finally I chose to be in the Engineering school.

In addition to the huge variety, I think accepting international students is an essential issue. This means it is a world wide university which has its decent reputation among the other universities, then getting a good job in the market will be easily because of the fame of that university. I am an international student now who is proud to be in a big university.

In conclusion, for me personally, any person who is looking for a university to attend he/she needs to consider its variety in majors beside the diversity of students it has, which only found in a big university. These factors play an important role in building his/her distinguished CV, rather than being in a small limited university which limit a person choices. Yet I don’t see any convincing reason to be in a small university.
