The world is covered with water over two-thirds. But most of the water can’t be used for drinking. And not salty is only 2.5% of it, of which two-thirds are in the North and South Pole, which we can not access to. Finally, only 0.08% of the whole water on the planet is available for human. Water is not enough for drinking itself like this, and the water pollution and waste make worse the water shortage. So it’s a fact that in the future, countries will be fighting wars over access to water. What make us believe of it are that the world suffers from water shortage by the pollution and waste, the main rivers are positioned in some areas intensively, and there are a lot of values to develop the water resource. Let’s look at them specifically.
Firstly, water shortage will make wars for people to get water. Water is necessary for human to maintain life and to farm. But it gets shorter and shorter because people waste and pollute it carelessly. They just use it for their interest without caution. In addition, as the population in the world grows much, the demand of water gets more. And the pollution and waste of it worsen water shortage. According to a report by e-Christian Newspaper last month, two-thirds of the whole population in the world lives in the countries which are short of water. And over 5000 of children die from water shortage a day, and over 100 million of people drink the polluted water. These people struggle to get water upon their life. It’s needless to say that if these situations go on and on, the countries will be fighting wars for getting water.
Secondly, the main rivers are positioned in some limited areas intensively. There are several big rivers in the world along which a lot of people live. And 40% of the whole population in the world lives along these rivers and use water there for drinking. But as water shortage gets worse by the pollution and waste, some people in the world even don’t have enough water for life. So they move and fight wars with other people for getting water. An example of this kind of fight is: India and Bangladesh have fought for using water from Ganges River for last dozens of years. Bangladeshis have been in trouble whenever Indians who live in the upper stream of Ganges use water too much. They even have given up the farming and often gun-fought with Indians for getting water. These wars and conflicts are not the only case of both countries. The limited access to water will cause many problems in the future.
Thirdly, many countries have a serious greed for water resources. The world faces the crisis of energy and the exhaustion of fossil fuels. So people hope to solve the problems by developing the seas and rivers which have a lot of water resources. The enormous amount of fishes and seaweeds which will be used for food are there. And waterpower of a river is the main generator of electricity. Above all, undeveloped fossil and other resources are stored under the seas. It is estimated that they are the next generation storage of energy. The conflict about the possession of Dock-Do between South Korea and Japan is a good example. It’s not caused by just the small island but caused by the range of sea got by the possession of it. As this makes a big tension between two countries politically, we can predict these problems will be common in the future.
Do you know that over 3 million of people die from diseases by polluted water a year? And many countries in the Middle East and East Asia are in big trouble because of problems by water shortage. Humans don’t live without water even a day and water is the source of life. So small and big wars for water will be common and get worse. Furthermore, water shortage, the limitedly positioned rivers, and countries’ greed for water resources will incite them to fight wars each other in the future. It is said that Third World War will be caused by not mechanical robots but water conflicts. It means the problems related to water are more severe than we think. All the people in the world need to know that it is the big issue of the world and we are all responsible for it.

I enjoyed your essey. I agree with you on the point that water shortahe problem will be urgent in the future. However, we can solve this problem by the global cooperation. The water shortage proble is the worldwide is the common problem to all nations. So it should be solved in terms of the global nation. My opinion is that we should the future more positive, because positive thinking causes positive results.
Thank you for good essey.
Hi.
What a interesting topic! Wars over accessing to water! I’ve never thought that kind of topic so it is very attracting topic to me.
I’m so impressed by your introduction part. You wrote very specific statistic so you make readers feel like there is no other way but agree with ideas. I think I should state some scientific statistic so my essay can be more convincing.
Though, I don’t agree with the idea that there will be wars over accessing to water. Even though it is definite fact that water is becoming resource that is hard to get. I don’t think there would be that much shortage because human being is very smart and good at evolution. There were always many problems that could make humankind fall in big trouble, but people always overcame those with the most powerful and effective way of evolution, science. I believe that we will find out to make water easily and can solve water problem in near future.
Thank you.

Thank you for your opinion.
You think that the war will not occur because of water shortage.
At first, I have also thought like you. But when I looked through the data and report, I was so surprised by its seriousness.
I am sorry for not persuading you to believe in my opinion in the essay.
And I think it would be better if I more focused on the positive aspects sorving the problem.
Thank you for concern again.
See you.

Thank you for reading my essay.
Firstly, I am not sure I deserve to get your praise.
I always try to start an essay with an interesting topic because it may affect on the readers' attention.
I spent a lot in choosing the starting material.
And can water shortage be solved easily like you said?
Of course, we are humans who have a nature to solve a problem.
But if you just concluded it because of the reason, you may not know the situation in reality.
I suggest you to read more date and report about the problem.
And I am sorry for not persuading you to believe in my opinion in the essay.
I will be with more confident reasons and facts to persuade you next time.
Hi~KangBeum!
I scruminized your essay because its topic is one of the hottest global issues that I am interested in. I also think like you that people will fight because of the shortage of water or the shortage of it will be urgent problem which approachs to our life. As you know, Korea was chosen as a country which was in danger of being short of water. However, people don't care about it, because they think it won't affect them while they're alive. I think that is the problem. We should perserve our environmental resources for our offspring, also as you mentioned above, we should develop the resources which can dissolve the water problem.
Anyway, it was great time to share my idea.:)

Hi nahyunsong!
Thank you for reading my essay.
People don't recognize how the situation is serious. Especially, Korea is one of the countries which spend water excessively a day. As you said, water resource is not our thing. We need it to be clean for the next generation. Developing the way cleaning the polluted water is not the best solution. I mean firstly we have to save it and try to spend it effectively.
Anyway, I'm also happy to share my thought with you. Thank you.
Hi~~kangbeum
I enjoyed reading your essay.
I think that water is so important in our life that we should take time to think about the seriousness of the shortage of water. That’s why I read your essay carefully to know your opinion about the topic. I like that you gave us some example, specific data to back up your idea. However, I think Dok do is not quite a water fighting. In addition, you should be careful with conjunction. There are some sentences which begin with and, but, so. Overall, your essay is well written. Thank you for sharing your idea about this topic.

Hi, Kangbeum
You did good job and the topic of your essay is very interesting to me. In addition the problem of water will be serious, that’s why we can discuss this enough and we have to find the solution. The evidences and attitude of your writing in which you wrote are very intensive and persuasive. What you suggested are the shortage by the pollution and waste; the main rivers are positioned in some areas intensively; and there are a lot of values to develop the water resource. All of the suggestion is worth to think of ourselves in the contemporary ages.
Thank you for giving me the chance through which I want to be a global citizen who believes the world should been “one” we are the family in the Globe. So we have to cooperate with problem for each other.
Have a nice day!
Hey Kangbum
I think this is the first time I read your essay and I’m impressed. I think this is a well-organized essay with good supporting details. I think you did a great job introducing your main topic. It is very interesting to see the data that you have used in your introduction. It is obvious that we as human beings cannot live without water. We do not think water shortage is related to us directly, but I heard that Korea is classified as a water shortage country by the United Nations. If we continue to use water recklessly without thinking about consequences, the water shortage issue will pose a huge threat to entire human race. I also like the fact that you used specific examples to support your points. I think your example which talks about the conflict between India and Bangladesh is very relevant and well-written. Thank you for sharing this essay with us!

Furthermore, water shortage, the limitedly positioned rivers, and countries’ greed for water resources will incite them to fight wars each other in the future. It is said that Third World War will be caused by not mechanical robots but water conflicts. It means the problems related to water are more severe than we think. All the people in the world need to know that it is the big issue of the world and we are all responsible for it.-kangbeumkwon
I really like this essay! Firstly, you have a same idea with me. Well.. this may not be so important.. Anyway, your way of catching other's interest was so nice(such as do you know? or.. some other specific examples..) I guess if you agree some of another opinions idea, this one will be much better writing.
Hi, Kangbum!
I really enjoyed your essay. Wow, your essay topic is very interesting but hard to support or oppose the topic. Even I can’t imagine one reason. It’s soooooooooo hard. kkk.
However, you did a nice work! The most favorable part of your essay is introduction. You mentioned specific statistic data and I think it is enough to attract reader’s attention. Also, I think these data can support your idea more efficiently. In addition, your third paragraph is also reasonable and I really like this part. Definitely, water is indispensable resource in our life and position of water can make power in the country because it can create monopoly of necessity. Eventually, It can be connected with outbreak of the war related to water.
Your essay was very convincing and I was very impressed with your effort. Good job!
See you. :-)
Hi, Kangbum!
I was impressed with your essay. You explained the topic very well. Above all, the specific statistics make your essay very persuasive. Also, the three reasons are very convincing.
This essay is logical and include the efficient data.
-jiwonkim
Hi jiwonkim
Thank you for giving me advice.
Why I have mentioned Dok do as an example of my essay is that I thought that Korea and Japan might fight to get a right to use the sea around the island. The topic of my essay is not about only water shortage, but about issues related to water. Anyway, I am sorry for that.
I am happy to hear that you did enjoy reading my essay.
Thank you for your concern,
Hi, Kangbeum

Hi jinmooryu!
I am a little surprised by the fact that I affected on you with my essay. Was is really effective to give you my thoughts in the essay? If so, I am able to feel the power of a writing. Actually, I may be satisfied if the readers don't pick on me with some errors in my writing. But it seemed that you had a instructive thing from my essay, and I am so happy. As you said, let's think about the global issues to be a global citizen who believes the world should been “one” we are the family in the Globe.
Thank you for your concern.
I wish you farewell.
Have a great vacation.
-dasomjo
Hi dasomjo!
This is the first time I reply yours. How merciful you are! I don't know what to say from your reply. I think there are many weak points in my essay. I think that you are a very merciful person. Anyway, thank you for it. What I am really about is that you were interested in the introdution part. Actually, I have tried to suggest some interesting materials in the first sentence to attract the readers' attraction. I don't know what other parts are good in my essay but I have a little pride only about that. So I'm so happy to hear that you are actually interested.
Thank you for your concern.
I wich you farewell.

Hi eujinjeong!
Thank you for your concern. The introduction. I am happy to hear that you are interested by it. It is the only part that I have a pride to show. I can see many errors that I made in the essay. Why was it detected at that time? I agree with your idea that eventually, water problems can be connected with outbreak of the war related to water.
Thank you for reading my essay again.
