Hello,

I just want to share this video with all of you because I find unacceptable this kind of practice, even if the number of seals kill per year is control by the government. They are animals in the nature and not in farms. Also this “hakapiks” tool that they use to kill them because they don’t want to damage the seal’s pelt it seems to be very cruel method.

I really surprise that the Canadian government allows this type of practice because in other aspects it seem to be very interested in world protection, like new energies, protecting natural reserve and native people….I guess that all these have a limit when they see how much money they can make with such exploitation.

Sofia.

Hi Sofia,

I totally agree with you, I also find this killing method very inhuman.Unfortunately, Kanada is not the only country that practicing cruel killing method on animals. For examples, Japan continues to kill whales by using a very cruel method. You are right, by mentioning, where are the environmentalist protectors? As Kanada and Japan are killing vulnerable animals, and i am very surprised that so developed countries still practicing these! Are we living in middle ages?

Hi Niniprg,

Thank you for being interested and participate in the topic that I have posted.

I hope that this new regulation from the European Union helps to stop this cruel slaughter.

Take care!
Sofia.

Thank you for letting me know this kind of ploblem. I totally didn't know about the way seals are killed. When it comes to fur, not only the seal's fur but other anymals' which are about to be extinct , you can guess that It's not easy to negotiate both pros and cons. But because of the news or docu regarding cruelty of animal, more people who are not interested in or even ignorant of this topic can have the opportunity to think about it.

thanks again cou.
