Recently, Lee’s administration announced that the current way of recruiting English teachers should be changed because it has failed to evaluate real English ability of the prospective teachers. Therefore, Lee’s administration suggested policy that anyone who has completed a TESOL program or earned a degree in English speaking countries can become an English teacher in secondary school. This policy has become a controversial issue. When we heard this announcement, we wondered how students majoring in English education and students in other majors (ordinary people) think about this issue. So, we decided to conduct a survey and made our own conclusion based on the result of the survey.
Here we report the findings from a survey conducted between November 17th and November 21st, 2008. 40 respondents (20 from English education department and 20 from other majors) answered the questions.
* The results are shown in the graphs below. (The size of graph indicates the number of people who answered the questions. )

The first question was ‘what do you think about current policy about teacher’s license examination?’ The second one was asking whether they support this policy or not. As we expected, most of the English education students said ‘no’, while half of the students in other major said they don’t know about the policy. Question 3 is for people who support the policy. 2 out of 3 in English education answered they support the policy because it can reinforce competitive power among teachers. There was one unique answer. One of the English education students wrote ‘it can increase the economically productive population who don’t have job despite the ability they have.’ Question 4 was asking why they aren’t aware of this issue. Most of them chose the answer no.2: although they are interested in education, they can’t get enough information because of frequently changing policy. Question 5 was about why they oppose the policy. 13 in English education and 4 in other major answered it. The answer no.1 and no.2 were chosen equally by English education students. This pattern was similar to answer of students in other major except one unique answer. One student in other major wrote frequently changing policy can bring more confusion to both teachers and students. The last question was a subjective question asking how current policy of recruiting teachers should be changed. Here are a couple of answers mentioned by students: the percentage of speaking test should be increased; before the administration tries to change the English education policy, preparatory research checking faults and virtues should be done thoroughly.
After survey this issue, we found there was a great difference in opinion between English education students and other students. While most of the students opposed new policy by Lee’s administration, some said they support the policy of Lee’s administration. Students of English Education are probably concerned about their future, since their future jobs are at stake. However, ordinary people think differently because they will be a beneficiary of education. In fact, most of the students don’t pay attention to education policy for various reasons. Thus, before discussing this issue further, the government has to inform people about the issue. In addition, teachers in training should try to develop their English skills to become more competent. In conclusion, this change in education system might bring about improvement in English education. Nevertheless, thorough planning and some revisions on this plan need to be preceded to maximize the benefits and to minimize the side effects.
I think it's not neat. What do you think about it? Mr. renshaw.
It could become clearer/neater by breaking your findings/opinions about the results from each question into separate paragraphs - even if they turn out fairly small.
For example:
The first question was ‘what do you think about current policy about teacher’s license examination?’ [Add your thoughts here]
The second one was asking whether they support this policy or not. As we expected, most of the English education students said ‘no’, while half of the students in other major said they don’t know about the policy.

Movie review
By min-jung, BAEK
James Bond back! Needless to say, this movie is fascinating! Quantum of Solace, one of the series of 007 is a recently released movie, and it is receiving a considerable amount of publicity all over the world. The plot is not only well-organized but also absorbs people. Moreover, the actors are playing characters which are quite appropriate for them.
The main story of the film is that Bond is out to revenge on the death of his lover, Vesper Lynd. In the film, Bond dangerously mixes his rage with his original duty, chasing down the trace of the group of secrecy which blackmailed Lynd to betray him. During his path of revenge, he eventually finds out the crime syndicate called 'Quantum' which is a great threat to the whole world. Quantum's mastermind, the billionaire environmentalist Dominic Greene uses a campaign to save a rainforest as a cover for his evil plan. In the movie, he represents a cold-blooded businessman. In addition to that, even the famous Bond girl seems to be getting tougher in the movie. Camille wants to have her own private vendetta which would bring a bloody conclusion regardless of Bond's help.
During the running time, it seemed that the audiences couldn't take their eyes off from the screen. It means everybody in the cinema was satisfied with the film! In addition, the reason why I enjoyed watching the recent Bond film was that I could learn valid expression from their conversation. For example, at the first part of the film, the MI6 team reports the progress to 'M' who is the manager of the team, and she briefly but firmly says "Impress me." It means "I am interested in the topic what you talk about so keeping going." Fourteen-word expression shrinks only two-word expression and gives much more power to the listener.
I highly recommend it to you and I also hope to find out more valuable expression! Go for it!!
How can I make the photo above? I mean, I want to put the photo very first line. But there is no option to do it.....could give me a little help for me? :)
Early Adopters!
By Ji-Young, Kim
As new products are being released day after day, now, Markets for digital products in Korea seems to be facing its golden age. Besides, competition to make more innovative products among the companies is now being overheated. They are trying to make so-called converged products which have many functions in one product. That’s why the companies which were used to produce completely different products are now competing with each other. In the middle of the overflowing digital products, it is very hard for consumers to find what they really want to buy or when and where to buy. These days many people now get information about digital products through the Internet. There are lots of websites that give you various kinds of information by comparing various products with certain criteria. Moreover, they even tell you the information about getting products in cheapest price. These sites are very important in the light of reviews about all kinds of digital products, since they have a big effect on other consumers. As these reviews are written by people who have used the products, they are not commercial ads but references.
As I mentioned above, those sites are usually not commercial. It means, they don’t benefit from giving information. Then who gives the information about the new digital products for free at the very beginning?
We call them ‘early adopter’, which indicates people who tend to buy new products earlier than others. The term was coined by an American sociologist, Everett Rogers. At that time, it was an unnoticed concept. From the middle of the 1990s, as high-tech products started to appear, nowadays, early adopters have become one of the most important consumer groups.
Individual early adopters are those who like the new and have enough money to buy numerous products. However they also have to be pleased with buying new products otherwise it will be very stressful to buy every one of them. Since they can have anything they want, they tend to be fickle, easily displeased, but if they do like something they have bought, they recommend it to others. Advertisers actively cultivate them, not just for sales lists but also for beta testing. Moreover, since their opinions are based on actual experience and comparisons with other new products, they are helpful with developing better products as well.
Especially in Korea, early adopters are very influential because almost everyone in Korea can use the Internet. Reviews about products spread rapidly through the networks. So not only consumers but also producers pay attention to early adapters. While consumers are happy to buy some products recommended by early adapters, producers are also pleased to know what consumers want and what their products are lack of. In this sense, nowadays early adopters are more than consumer.
Oh, I don't know how to post more than an 'one' picture and also how to move pictures where I want to place these. Please let me know about that : )
Good English studying habits for each blood type.

O
You are very strong that you wouldn't do something you don't want. However, once you decide to do something, you will do it no matter what. You are a night person and you tend to concentrate better at from 9p.m~2a.m. When reading, don't go into too much detail. If you try to study everything, you will miss things that are more important. With vocabulary, you tend to remember better once you've seen it. Therefore, write the words in post-it and try putting it up on the wall. When you have hard time studying speaking, it is good to practice it with friends. Get together and start talk in English or go online to find some pen-pal friends abroad!
AB
You are very curious person and you like asking questions. When there is something you don't understand, go ahead and ask professor or your friends who are good at English. You are the one who need a good night sleep before studying since you get tired easily. Especially before TOEIC, TOEFL, or big exams, you have to sleep well, otherwise you won't be able to fully show what you have studied. Moreover, you get bored with same style of questions easily that why don't you make up your own questions? That would surely be refreshing for you.
A
You are somewhat a perfectest. Also you like things to be correct and everything to be in place. When your room is all messy, isn't it hard for you to concentrate when you are reading? Once you cleaned your room, taking a warm shower might help you out. Moreover, you tend to organize and plan ahead before studying. You write out how many pages you are going to read, or how many words you are going to memorize per day. However, you need to try hard to keep up with the tight schedule you made up. One more thing, since you can focus better during the day, why don't you memorize some vocabulary during the daytime?
B
You are sensitive and full of energy. Also, you are very smart. However, you still have to study. Remember? Edison said "A genius is one percent inspiration and ninety nine percent perspiration." You are a morning person. Since you can focus better during the morning, memorize vocabulary when you are out of bed. Even though you love music, studying while listening to the music is something you have to avoid. You are a very competitive person. When you have an ultimate goal, you will do your best to accomplish what you want. So, try to set a goal such as specific TOEFL score or amount of reading you will do per day.
Jason, I edited it little bit.^.^

This article was the most interesting part as I looooove watching dramas ;) However, due to a lot of assignments to do, I couldn't have enough time to enjoy those exciting ones! In this coming winter vation, I'm planning to watch four or five sereies. So, your article will help me a lot to choose which one to see. Among your recommendations, I could find some series that I really enjoyed!! Especially, I really like Grey's Anatomy. Actually, I started to watch American dramas because of my sister, who was crazy about them, and she was the one who introduced it to me. IT was fascinating as it deals with not only medical events but also Grey's self realization and some episodes that could happen in our everyday lives. In addition, I liked Ally Mcbeal, too. As once I dreamed about being a lawyer, I could be "absorbed" in that series. Oh, Do you know "Close to home"? It also deals with a story of woman lawyer, who has a very strong will and full of passion. Wow, there are a lot to watch! I have to make well-organized plan so that those dramas can really help me to improve my English skill. Thanks, Sangeun :D

Sinji, I am Sangwook.
First, I would like to thank you for giving us this good information!
In my opinion, President Lee had better think about the topic a little longer. As the president of a country, he should give more thought to that kind of problem. Also as a post English teacher, we should think about the topic more deeply. Thank you again for yielding this good article.
Survey
By SINJI KIM and EUJIN JEONG Recently, Lee’s administration announced that the current way of recruiting English teachers should be changed because it has failed to evaluate real English ability of the prospective teachers. Here we report the findings from a survey conducted between November 17th and November 21st, 2008. 40 respondents (20 from English education department and 20 from other majors) answered the questions.* The results are shown in the graphs below. (The size of graph indicates the number of people who answered the questions. )

[image]The first question was ‘what do you think about current policy about teacher’s license examination?’ The second one was asking whether they support this policy or not.

Hi, Eojin :D Ah, how was your major class about English novels? Was it good? I think I spoiled the exam!!! I'm so sad. ㅠ
Anyway wow, it is really interesting enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was fascinated with your idea of writing attached to blood type!
Also I will keep in mind what you recommend as a person who have O blood type. Even though there are some not exactly same things with me, it is almost same. So I will buy a lump of post-it tomorrow! lol.
Good English studying habits for each blood type.by Eojin Lee.OYou are very strong that you wouldn't do something you don't want.
ABYou are very curious person and you like asking questions.
AYou are somewhat a perfectest.
BYou are sensitive and full of energy.

Hello Haeyoon? I miss you too! Long time no see! Oh! Your new hair style was really great. It was very charming!!
Anyway, before I wrote this article, I remembered our conversation at Dotori. Can you remember? We talked about watching American dramas with Hyunjoo! Your experiences were useful for me to write this acticle. Thank you a lot! Like you, I'm also planning to watch American dramas in this vacation. But I don't decide what to watch yet. Let's share useful information!
Hi sangeun! How have you been? We haven't seen each otheron these days. I miss your smile and positive attitude!
