Hi everybody~~ This is the last task we have to do.
Have a great vacation !!
Sena Kim’ Lesson plan
1.Before starting the class directly, teacher asks students’ feeling when they have a test. Students answer the question, and then teacher explains that we are going to learn some expressions how we speak our feeling in English.
2.Teacher makes students listen to the dialog which is the recorded 3 times, and then asks student about information on the dialog. The questions are these below.
1) What new information does each person announce to the others?
2) What expression does Alex use to get his friends’ attention?
3) Which expressions in the dialogue mean “I’m happy” and “I’m worried?”
3.Students have difficulty with these questions because they don’t understand perfectly, so teacher picks 4 students up in the class to come up to the front and read the dialog again. Students listen with the passion than ever before.
Again teacher asks students these questions above.
4.Teacher gives students papers. There’re a bunch of situations and expressions which make student practice with their partner. Students practice these expressions with their partners and make their own stories using data which learned in the class today.
5. Students also learned similar sounds like ‘school/ two/ drew/’ or ‘put/ good/ could’ in the dialog. Teacher make students sound these words clearly with drilling a few times. And teacher teaches new words in the dialog and explains the structure of some sentences which are complicated to students understand.
6.Teacher make students listen more dialogs which are involved what they learned today. And then students complete their own stories and have time to practice with their partners. It would be 4~5. Teacher asks some group to come up to the front, and they act their dialog which is made by themselves.
7.Teacher make students listen the dialog one more which played at the beginning of the class, and student fill in the blanks in the book and teacher give them answers of the questions (above). Students can recheck what they learned today.
8.Finally, play a kind of mini game which use our facial expression to make students remember the vocabulary whey learned. Students express their feeling with their face and body when teacher names the vocabulary of the expressions one by one. (for example, when teacher names ‘no way’, ‘great’, ‘all right’, or ‘oh no’.)
