 Hi ,
I need some inputs on the pronunciation aspect of the speaking section. Are we to pronounce it the way it is in American English or it is fine even if it is in British English. For eg: "Almond".In British eng "L" would be silent unlike in the American pronunciation. The same applies to "Often".
Please advise me on this.
I have my TOEFL on the 14th and I"m anxious and nervous about how I perform!
Thanks :)

As far as I am aware, any accent or dialect of English is okay, so long as your pronunciation and delivery are CLEAR and COMPREHENSIBLE. The TOEFL is not testing your ability to mimick the American accent - it is testing to see whether native speakers of English will be able to understand you.

All the best,

~ Jason
