Computers have been so far the best innovation of technology. Though there are many advantages of computers when put to a good use there are many adverse effect as well. I agree that computer games do more harm than good to children.

These days children are increasingly getting involved in computers and so in computer games. This can prove harmful in many ways. First, continuously looking at the computer for hours together can affect the eyesight of the children making it week. This has been noticed in many children now a days who have to wear specks to compensate for their weak eyesight.

Second, it prevents the children from goin out of the house to play and for doin some kind of physical activity. Infact these days you will find children sitting in cyber cafes and playing games on LAN and most of them playing games like counter strike, NFS, crusaders, etc. These games affects the children both physically and mentally. They make them more destructive and aggressive, at the same time because of no physical exercise they have become lazy and lethargic.

Third, it affect their studies. In their schools also they dont discuss about subjects and classes and current affairs, wht they discuss is which is the new game that has come in the market and who has what games so that they can exchange. even when they come home they dont care about studies but sit down to play another set of games.

Fnally , computer games make children less interactive. They are less interested in goin out of the house to meet other people or even to have a good family time together. as long as they are home they want to stick to their computers and waste no time in socializing.

Hence to conclude, computer games do no good to children and it is every parent's duty to restrict such activities as it affects overall development of a child.
