The lecture and the reading passages present the issue of carrying capacity.
The lecture explain that the survive of one part of animal in the forest depend automatically to an other part of animal because of limited capacity of the forest.
The professor is utilizing an example to verify the specific points mentioned in the reading passage.

First of all, the professor brings an example with wolfs and rabbits. According to a statistic the were a lot of rabbits twenty years before. He mentions that for these mount of rabbits weren’t enough food like grass in the forest, so the population grew down. This description supports the reading passage which asserted “the number of organism is based on available resources”.

Secondly, ten years later there where less wolfs because of the sinking population of rabbits, which is a food resource for the wolfs. Again this confirms with the reading passage that describes the variable quantity of available food.

Thirdly, another 5 years later there were again more rabbits. The grass could grow up in the time of rabbit rarity and so the rabbits increased their population.

Finally, the view of population rate, the development between the different population densities to other and the dependence of a population to food capacity are the most important points which support and lead on the information states in the reading passage.

The lecture explained why Michelangelo´s work wasn´t the only populare work of artists in the renaissance age. There are following three reasons.

First of all, everybody know that there are further artists also known by the people like Rafael and Da vinci, who lived in the same time. This directly refutes the reading wich states that Michelangelo was the "most famous of all".

Secondly, not Michelangelo felt the inspiration for his masterwork from 1504, Statue David, but another artist, named Da ducio. He had the idea and Michelangelo just ended his production.
Again this contradicts is stated in the reading which stated that he build it  to 1501 to 1504.

Thirdly, relate the professor that in that 40 years working  on the ceiling of Sestine Chapel Michelangelo create also a large quantity of other sculptures and paintings in the Chapel.
Besides, he engaged many other artists and gave them possibility to work as well as a pation to do the best possible work.

In conclusion, the renesaunce age as the greatest time in the history of arts gave birth to many other famous artists, not all his works are selfmade or not all inspirations came just from him and in  the diffuclt time of finishing the ceiling he produced also another things in the chapel and furthermore he paid money to other smaller artists by learning them to do the best. These are the main reasons why the lecture critizise the reading passage.

Integrated Writing Task 2, Question 1

The reading and the lecture passages discuss the issue of language differences.
The professor is enumerating further details ans shows antother axamples to illustrate the specific points presented in the reading passage.

To begin with, the professor points out the first point of the reading passage with the daily situation of everyone. He says, that nowbody realize or think about the pronounced words. So we indirectly take on new modern words from music, movies or sport events. These are the reasons why the words become famous in a big part of area.

As a next example the professor makes reference to star wars, the movie from 1977.
At this time - when the movie was in and became cult - a mount of people in the western countries like Britain, Canada and USA used the indicated special language independent of different countries and cultures.

Furthermore, the lecture explains the faster influence of the modern time today.
He shows, that the young people acquiere another language than there parents in their younger days.
Hes assert is an another comparison to the reading passage.

The last part of the lectur utilize the comedy programm in Canada like a evidence to state the different development of the accents between countries having the same language. The differents in accent couse misunderstandings in humor for British and Australian people.

The reading passage draws on the different cultur barriers given by media or area distance.
The lectur complete this thesis supporting  the respect of still existing language barriers in the world.

Hello Jason,

my summarizing to question 1 of the practice test:

The reading and lecture passage discuss the topic of wind power as a new kind of energy resource. The professor casts doubt on different keys the negative argumentations of the wind power, which was given in the reading passage.

The professor begins to talk about the costs of constructing the wind wheels. He indicates that an investment will be paid already nine months after the completion, so it is very profitable to build them. This challenges the assertion of the reading that a lot of energy is necessary for making these machines.

Secondary, the professor criticizes the assertion in the reading about the host of killing birds by the turbines. He use the example that there are more accidents with death birds in cities occurs by crashes while driving a car or because of the big windows of skyscrapers or other buildings.

In addition to that, the professor explains that there is enough land capacity for the huge machines. The turbines work with the power of wind and need also a lot of place between them, so it is necessary to position them in an even landscape where strong wind is given. On these places there are not so much people who like to live there because of complications with supporting and life quality. So based on this the professor indicate that a land with small population density can be used for the production of wind energy and the land can also be used for agriculture without neglect for the capacity. The professor demonstrates an example about Denmark, where the area was avoided.

Last but not least, to opposite the argument about the esthetic problems in the reading the professor talks about a statistic that 70 % of people never mind to live in the near of the turbines.
